HIM has been my number one favourite band for years, but I feel like fame has changed them a lot. They don't seem to care about their fans anymore and their music has changed dramatically too. As for their live performance, I can only say that I've seen better! I'll always love them, of course, but it seems like they are not what they once were, and I don't like it... Now that I've discover Dommin, I must say that I'm tryly amazed at how famous they've become and yet they stayed truthful and down-to-earth. I believed that people changed as fame went to their heads, but Dommin, Dommin is different, they seem to be unaffected by the fact that the world loves them. Is that even possible, I wonder...? |

I agree with you completely. In regards to HIM: I used to adore their music, but Dark Light was the beginning of the end for me. DL had it's moments but I haven't particularly liked an album since. When I saw HIM & Dommin I went with a friend who is the biggest HIM fangirl you'll ever meet. Just to give you an idea, she threw her bra onstage during the Birmingham show. After I met Dommin, it was her turn to try and meet HIM. We waited by the tourbus. I wasn't really bothered about meeting them, but she was. Anyway, they got the security to usher all the girls away from the tourbus. They got on, heads down, without a word to any of the fans who had paid £25 to see them. No smile, no "thanks guys but we have to go". Nothing. A large reason I like Dommin is because of the personalities behind the music. They remain probably the most gracious, polite and welcoming band I've ever met. __________________________________ SOULPATCH-MOLESTING DOMMINITE!

Yes, I've heard of HIM avoiding their fans big time, I don't understand why. They probably got bored of the whole thing, I heard that they're splitting up soon, is that true? Also, I remember watching some concert or something on TV, and Ville was supposed to sing Wicked Game, I think it was. So he took the microphone, sang and rolled his eyes, and then he just threw the microphone! I thought wtf? What an idiotic way to show the world you don't care.... Im gonna add my piece to this..... Ive been a HIM fan for nearly 8 years now,and ive seen them change over the years as well. When i first got into them they blew me away. The music, the style, the sound everything about them was amazing. Then from DL onwards things did seem to go a little down hill.I know Ville had a lot of personal problems back then, and also when they did Venus Doom he was struggling with things but the music was better.Ive always supported HIM's music and probably always will do.But i think they have changed a lot over the past 5 years. When i saw HIM back in March,i went with 2 friends who had never been to a real proper concert,i really hyped them up for it,saying how you can see that when Ville talks everyone listens,Linde's solos are mind blowing (Which they are!) and loads of things like that.So they were proper excited about seeing HIM live..... So Dommin come on,and from the first song (New) we were all blown the hell away. There energy, there thanks for the crowd, there music was just amazing. When Dommin had finished we were actually gutted!. We wanted to more!. So onto HIM (After waiting god knows how long for them to come on....) everyone was excited and buzzing. There set was ok,obviously more of the new stuff from the Screamworks album (Which i do love that album, but not listened to once since ive had Love Is Gone!) Ville was just...i cant explain it but not all there. When i first saw them back in 2005 (I think it was) he was singing WITH the crowd, not against them.He was rocking out with us,just really getting into....But watching them back in March,he was mumbling a lot of things, and paying more attention to the band then the audience, and it kinda took away the fun for me. I mean i loved the show, but something just wasnt right.Nearer to the end of there set i ended up passing out,and being dragged out.Put into the first aid room blah blah blah. Was then put backstage for a bit to get some air,saw all the guys from HIM walk pass me and the only one who asked if i was ok was Burton (Bless him) then the security kept pushing me to go away!!!.So i did leave with the first aider, found my friends and then went over and said hello to Dommin, and im glad i did!.They left an impression on me that will last forever!.I got my ticket signed,Billy talked to me and hoped i got better soon, and actually gave a damn about me.They all did.The fact that all of them hung out with fans after the show made me come out of that show a Dommin fan more then a HIM fan.And ive not looked back since! But yes i think HIM have a changed, but i will still continue to be a fan,buy the music,go see them live (And like Sinny said, all they did was walk pass there fans after each show, which i did think was a little rude......) As for Dommin,i had an amazing Download cos of them guys and the lovely Domminites, and its great to see a awesome band be SO down to earth and care about there fans and give there own time up to come hang out with us all, even when there tired,or super busy.Ive never met a band like them, and im thankful and honoured to support a band so awesome as Dommin.Im proud to call myself a Domminite (Sorry for it being so long,i wanted to get my point across) XxX The Domminites, The Guardians Of Dommin Dommload Legend! Another day that goes by,is another day closer to seeing Dommin again....Whenever that'll be (That day was 30-06-2011) |

Yes, everyone agrees that after the Dark Light everything went down. But you know, they've been popular for so long, they're bound to get bored by all those fans, I get that, but still, a little smile and wave wouldn't hurt, you know! Maybe Dommin is so down-to-earth and love their fans because their fame is not yet fully realised, maybe they'll change too, who knows A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere. Heya. Yeah just something from anyone of the guys would be nice,a quick chat or even hello and thanks for coming would be good enough for me.But ive never seen that side of HIM unfortunately :-( Dommin are the real deal. They like to meet and great there fans cos, well for one, they all like doing it (At least i hope),there not big headed about who they are or what they do,and know that they wouldnt be going far without the support of us crazy lot.Every person that has had the chance to meet the guys (Including me) from Dommin come away feeling appreciated as a fan of such an awesome band. There aint a feeling better then that!. I thought it says on my profile, is it there? I'm from Belgrade (Serbia). You? Unfortunately, I don't think I would have a chance to see them live. And frankly, going to America or wherever else to see them perform, that is out of the question for be, because I would need like a thousand dollars for the plane and everything. If I had a job, that wouldn't be a problem, but since I'm still a student (at least officially for the next two-three months), I would never ask my parents for so much money, it wouldn't be fair. So for now, this site is my connection to those guys, at least in a way :) A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere. Groucho Marx |

Dommin are the most genuine, down to earth bunch of guys I have ever met. I met them during the HIM set, had a photo with them and awwwwed me as I gave them all hugs, they didn't mind me coming over to them again for a chat and autographs, I really hope to see them again in a headlining tour. I haven't seen that side of HIM before so it's a real shame you guys have. I'd rather be hated for who I am rather than loved for someone I'm not Keep rockin :D http://tuomaslottesmusicjournal.blogspot.com/ |

@Kimmers: You're right about Ville mumbling things and the fact he was talking to the band the whole time instead of the audience, it got to a point where I felt like shouting 'I don't care just play a song'. Which show in March did you go to? I went to the one in Bournemouth and I swear in between each song he had something to say. And yes I was kept wating for HIM :S I'd rather be hated for who I am rather than loved for someone I'm not Keep rockin :D http://tuomaslottesmusicjournal.blogspot.com/ |
