Love Is Gone Receives Rave Reviews

It's been a long road but we finally got here! The album is out in the USA today and will be released elsewhere very soon. I have so many people to thank. I saw that Yahoo's Music section has us in their video section. iTunes have been very good to us featuring our album and our video in several areas of their site. We had great people at the label and with our management that have been hard at work to get us to this point. Also, the band itself, I don't now where to begin. But certainly, all you fans out there. We appreciate you so much! Thanks for picking up the CD and downloading it and spreading the word. This is only the beginning...

As Los Angeles-based goth-rock upstarts Dommin prepare to unleash their first full length Love Is Gone this Tuesday, February 2nd, the band is offering their final free stream -- a song by the same name: "Love Is Gone."

"This song almost didn't make the album." explains frontman and namesake Kristofer Dommin. "I was a bit insecure about the song until my producers heard it and were adamant that it be included. I'm glad they felt that way because I consider it my favorite song on the album."

Hear the track right below, and if you can't wait until Tuesday, preorder your copy of Love Is Gone right here, right now.

Los Angeles-based alternative rock band DOMMIN, whose Roadrunner debut Love is Gone is due in stores on February 2, are pleased to announce that they will be touring with H.I.M., We Are the Fallen and Drive A this Spring. The tour kicks off on March 26 in Philadelphia and will run through early May.

Dommin’s darkly romantic brand of rock focuses on things like heartbreak and love lost, set to lush, epic soundscapes. With Love is Gone, heartache has a new soundtrack.

Those who’ve already seen the band perform live last summer were impressed, with ABC News 12 in Flint/Detroit saying, “The band had undeniable charm on its side. And seeing that kind of passion and potential doesn’t happen every night.”

In the past year, Dommin have toured with a variety of acts, including Combichrist, Wednesday 13, Lacuna Coil, The 69 Eyes and The Birthday Massacre. The band has also appeared on select dates of the 2009 Vans Warped Tour.

Now Dommin prepare to release their debut full-length Love is Gone, an album Ultimate Guitar describes as having, “Certainly a The Crow-like darkness... but it’s more inviting and welcoming than it is dangerous and distant... If anything, Kristofer Dommin is doing his best to be the voice of the brokenhearted. It's a topic that never goes cold in rock music and Dommin add their own heat to it.”

Fangoria raved that the album is “a blend of haunting and complex melodies,” while Rock Scarz claimed Love is Gone “is a solid album covering the topics of love and pain and everything else that goes along with it. It has elements of goth, new wave, punk and metal but still manages to keep a unique sound.”

Tour dates for the band’s trek with H.I.M. are below. Pre-sales begin on January 19, with regular on-sales starting January 29. Go here to pre-order the February 2nd release Love is Gone.
